摘要:Research in genetics and molecular biology has led to a much better understanding of the mechanism behind blood cancers such as acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). New drugs have been developed that target specific cancer-related mechanisms. These drugs are often effective but resistance to therapy limits their benefits. In my talk I will discuss our research where computational methods (molecular dynamics simulations, DFT calculations and energy decomposition analysis) were used for a better understanding of the molecular mechanism behind AML and why certain drugs work (or not).
